Keep reading to learn why we think these are some of the best golf shoes on the market.
Extremely Comfortable
Perhaps the best-selling point with these golf shoes (and all of them from Skechers) is the extreme comfort. Ever since I bought my first pair of Skechers I’ve been buying more and more as I truly think they’re the most comfortable shoes in golf.

While they might not be as “trendy” as some brands, they’re no doubt some of the most comfortable. Anytime I have a walking event I always wear Skechers as I know my feet won’t bother me for the six miles (or more) of walking.
They are very lightweight but responsive thanks to the ULTRA Go cushioning technology. They also have a high rebound Skecher Goga Max cushioned insole. I’ve worn other pairs of Skechers for years and never had to replace the insole.
Simple Design
Skechers isn’t the trendiest company in a fashion sense but they all have a simple design. The Elite 4 are better looking than some of their models and will match just about any golf outfit.

These shoes offer a traditional lace up front with a padded collar and tongue. They have a pull-on top loop to easily slip them on.
Unlike other models, these shoes offer a spikeless bottom. But thanks to GRIPFLEX they still have tons of traction and provide a lot of stability throughout your swing. You definitely won’t have to worry about slipping with these golf shoes.
Multiple Color Options
Aside from the comfort these golf shoes are also available in multiple colors to match your attire for the day. They’re available in white/navy, white/gray, and gray/red.

Optional Upgrade: Skechers Go Golf Elite
The new Go Golf Elite shoes from Skechers are a step up from the Elite 4 and a great option if you play in wet conditions. These shoes have all the perks of the ones in this article but also offer a waterproof membrane system to keep your feet dry.
Alternatives
While I think you’ll love these Elite 4 golf shoes, there are some other great choices from Skechers as well. Here are some of our favorites.
Skechers Go Golf Arch Fit
If the arches of your feet need even more support, you can’t beat these golf shoes. As Skechers said on their website, “The right support makes a world of difference with Skechers GO GOLF Arch Fit® – Line Up. This lace-up spikeless golf design features a water-repellent mesh and synthetic upper with a removable Arch Fit® insole and Goodyear® Performance Outsole.”

These shoes are a podiatrist designed shoe with 20 years of data and used 100,000+ foot scans to develop them. They have a removable insole that molds to your foot and improves weight distribution. This shoe also has Goodyear outsoles for more stability and traction with every swing.
While they might not look as aesthetically pleasing as others, they are built to keep your feet comfortable at all times. Plus, they’re available in multiple sizes, colors, and have a traditional lacing system.
Skechers Go Golf Pro 5 Hyper
If you prefer a traditional spiked golf shoe, it’s hard to beat the Go Golf Pro 5. These shoes have replaceable soft spikes for maximum traction and gripping. If you’re the type of golfer who has a lot of lower body movement (but not quite as much as Scottie Schefler) these are a great option.

Additionally, they are ultra lightweight, come with a Skecher Arch Fit insole system (which is removable), new insole cushioning, and are waterproof. Not just water-resistant but waterproof with a 2-year warranty as well. They also have five color options and are a great shoe for year round golf.
Skechers Max Cushioning
If you want the most cushioned shoes possible opt for the Max Cushioning. These shoes have more support than I’ve ever seen on a golf shoe!
They’re still very lightweight but have more cushion for extreme comfort all day long. The 6 mm heel drop and 2-inch heel height might be a bit of adjustment but make walking a golf course easy.
These shoes are water-resistant, offer a relaxed fit for more room at the toe/forefoot, and durable spikeless traction. They also have a traditional lace up front and are available in multiple colors as well.

FAQ About Skechers Golf Shoes
Do you have more questions about Skecher golf shoes? Keep reading our frequently asked questions and answers below.
Are Skechers golf shoes waterproof?
Some of their golf shoes are waterproof but not all of them so make sure to check the product description. The Elite 4 shoes are water-repellent but not waterproof so they’re best for spring and summer golf. Plus, the light colors wouldn’t do as well in wet, muddy conditions.
Does Skechers make wide golf shoes?
Yes, they have medium, wide, and extra wide shoe sizes which is a huge perk as a lot of brands only offer medium or wide. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen a narrow size option.
Do Skechers shoes run true to size?
Yes, I bought size 10 which is what I wear with Nike, FootJoy, and other athletic shoes.
Do pro golfers wear spikeless golf shoes?
Yes, a lot of professional golfers on the PGA Tour and LIV Golf wear spikeless shoes. While others prefer to use traditional soft spikes for extra traction. Click here to learn more about metal spikes in golf.
Do any pro golfers wear Skechers?
Yes, Skechers does have professionals wearing their shoes including Matt Fitzpatrick who won the 2022 US Open. Other golfers include Colin Montgomerie, Matt Kuchar, and Billy Andrade.
My Experience Wearing Skechers Golf Shoes
I absolutely love Skechers shoes and think they’re one of the best deals in golf. They’re very well priced, extremely comfortable, and last a long time. I have nothing but good things to say about these Skechers Elite 4 shoes.

Final Thoughts
The new Skechers Men’s Elite 4 golf shoes are some of the best in the game. They’re lightweight, extremely comfortable, and offer tons of support (like all Skechers shoes).
Don’t make golf even more difficult by wearing shoes that aren’t comfortable! While I won’t say they’re the most fashionable shoes at times, I’ve yet to find a brand that is more comfortable.
